Dr. Patricia Tannis is a scientist and archaeologist in the Borderlands franchise who specializes in the Eridians, an ancient alien race. She becomes obsessed with finding the legendary Vault and uses bandit clans to help her research. However, she is betrayed by the bandits and develops an irrational fear of the outside world, isolating herself at her dig site. Tannis is described as "unique" due to her prolonged isolation on the planet Pandora
