At Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, he was sorted into Gryffindor House, where he formed close friendships with James Potter, Remus Lupin, and Peter Pettigrew, collectively known as the Marauders. Sirius was also Harry Potter's godfather, playing a significant role in his life.
